The Company
Established in 1996, GANESA is situated in the southernmost outskirts
of Oslo. We currently have a staff of twelve, and are constantly
expanding. We have always worked closely with our network of partner
companies and translators, both in Norway and abroad: specialist
and government-authorised translators, web designers, IT experts,
travel writers and advertising agencies to name but a few.
And it goes without saying that all those employed by Ganesa translate
and write exclusively in their own native language and within the
boundaries of their documented areas of expertise.
Quality assurance
Quality assurance is of utmost importance to us - as it is to you:
- Qualified, bilingual translators carry out the translations
- Experienced editors proofread translated/compiled text, checking
technical content, language and suitability for the target group
in question
- Detailed customer follow-up ensures that terminology and style
correspond exactly with existing documentation.
- Specially-developed project management systems monitor the
whole process from A to Z.
Computer-aided translation and ICT solutions are becoming far more
widely used in the quality assurance process. These solutions cover
a whole range of areas; from project administration ensuring punctual
and correct work flow, delivery and follow-up to checking terminology
so that customers are guaranteed consistent terminology over time
and all the way through subsequent projects.
In other words, Ganesa makes active use of technology to secure
the best results.
Adapting Norwegian travel texts for a foreign target group presents
a unique challenge, which calls for a subtle interplay of linguistic
and stylistic skill, as well as a sound factual knowledge of Norway
and familiarity with local customs. Ganesa's quality assurance eliminates
any problems in these areas by performing systematic and in-depth
checks on texts, using a combination of Norwegian and international
expertise.
